People and Capability Advisor

The role

In this role you will report to the People & Capability Manager together you will support the Leadership Team in all aspects of the employee cycle. You will partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and come up with innovative recruitment campaigns, and provide support with the initial applicant screening and interviewing.

You will:

  • Draft employment documentation and attend to other people related administration.
  • Manage the onboarding experience of all new employees ensuring a smooth transition into the HDC.
  • Maintain employee records in all relevant systems.
  • Advise line managers on performance issues, PIP, and other disciplinary matters.

Skills and experience

You are known for being approachable and calm, with the ability to connect with people easily and maintain good relationships.

  • 3 years of experience as a P&C/ HR generalist with focus in recruitment.
  • Formal HR or business management training.
  • Good understanding of best HRM practices and New Zealand employment legislation and compliance.
  • Thoughtful, a willingness to embrace change.
