About the role | Mō Te Tūranga

As a Utilities officer in this team your day's will be filled with important tasks to ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of water supplies and the provision of continuous, safe water to our communities.

The work is varied;

  • Responding to customer service requests
  • Delivering to our maintenance schedule on our 3 water assets
  • Maintaining our water schemes
  • Operating diggers and excavators, when needed
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records,
  • Working as a team

Ensuring the smooth operation of the water and sewerage schemes across the District our utilities officers are on an on-call roster.

About you | Mōu

Along with your practical knowledge of water supply and wastewater pumping stations will be your;

  • great problem-solving skills, you are practical, and results orientated
  • ability to learn new things quickly
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • IT literacy - Excel, MS Suite
  • class 2 driver's licence (desirable)
  • L4 NZQA certificate in water/ wastewater (desirable)

You will be comfortable working outside and physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
