About the role | Mō Te Tūranga

This is a three-year program where our IT Support Cadets get to learn and grow with the support and mentorship from more experienced members of the team, while studying towards a Diploma in IT Technical Support. Contributing to the teams' purpose of providing a proactive, effective and efficient information technology support services and system admin to our customers, staff and Council members.

About you | Mōu

You are someone with a keen interest in computers and technology, along with the willingness to attend Ara across the duration of the three-year programme.

  • Personable with customer service focus
  • Solution focused, with great problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • NCEA L2 with literacy and numeracy credits
  • Drivers Licence

We only take on one cadet every three years - are you ready;

  • To apply yourself in your learning both at work and at school.
  • To attend training regularly.
  • Submit assessments in a timely manner.

What we offer | Tā mātou mahi

This opportunity does not come round often, our commitment is to support the Cadet through their learning. We provide a fulltime fixed term contract that allows for up to 20 hours a week at Ara for their diploma. Workplace learning where you can apply your studies and access a range of specialist skills within the IT team to learn from.
