About the role | Mō Te Tūranga

  • 2 x casual positions at Hurunui Memorial Library in Amberley
  • 1 x casual position at Library & Service Centre in Cheviot

The positions involve providing both library and council services, working closely with the community, and making a positive impact every day. You might be asked to work or train at other libraries/service centers in the district.

About you | Mōu

No two days will be the same. You will need to bring patience and tact to the table—along with a smile. We are looking for personable and resilient people who will stay calm under pressure. Additionally, you:

  • Ideally have customer service and/or previous library experience
  • Are technologically savvy, and pay attention to detail
  • Are adaptable, flexible, and calm under pressure
  • Communicate clearly with a positive, confident and professional attitude
  • Have a strong work ethic and take pride in their contributions
  • Demonstrate discretion, teamwork, and a genuine desire to help others of all ages and backgrounds
  • Have a driver's license
