About the role | Mō Te Tūranga

Learn to swim programmes teach children valuable life skills and we are seeking instructors to help us develop our swim school to help maximise our local young people's aquatic learning experience.

Casual cover is required during weekend mornings and afterschool.

Our swim school is only open during the summer season (October - April).

About you | Mōu

We are looking for instructors who are fun-loving, energetic, reliable and confident. If you have these qualities, then WE WANT YOU!

Most important is you are someone who is at home in the water, along with;

  • Having a teaching, coaching, or swimming background (desirable)
  • Being a logical thinker and always one step ahead
  • An ability and willingness to learn and passionate about teaching people of all ages

You do not need to be an Olympic swimmer, but you do need to have a passion for ensuring that the next generation of New Zealanders grow up to be capable and confident in the water.

We are committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014. As such applicants will be required to undergo police vetting process.
