About the role | Mō Te Tūranga
The purpose of this role is to maintain, operate and upgrade the waste and stormwater network to ensure it functions to its optimal level.
Duties include:
- Carry out maintenance activities, to waste and stormwater systems
- Operating diggers and excavators
- Collect water and soil samples, and send for testing
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records,
- Analysing data and escalating data anomalies
- Provide on-call support as needed
About you | Mōu
Ideally you will have practical knowledge of water reticulation and wastewater pumping stations and systems.
Along with:
- Your great problem-solving skills, you are practical, and results orientated
- Physically fit, able to lift heavy things
- Strong customer service skills and communication skills
- Computer literacy, comfortable using excel.
- Hold a class 2 driver's licence (desirable)
- L4 NZQA certificate in water/ wastewater or relevant recent experience.
