About the role | Mō Te Tūranga

The purpose of this role is to maintain, operate and upgrade the waste and stormwater network to ensure it functions to its optimal level.

Duties include:

  • Carry out maintenance activities, to waste and stormwater systems
  • Operating diggers and excavators
  • Collect water and soil samples, and send for testing
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records,
  • Analysing data and escalating data anomalies
  • Provide on-call support as needed

About you | Mōu

Ideally you will have practical knowledge of water reticulation and wastewater pumping stations and systems.
Along with:

  • Your great problem-solving skills, you are practical, and results orientated
  • Physically fit, able to lift heavy things
  • Strong customer service skills and communication skills
  • Computer literacy, comfortable using excel.
  • Hold a class 2 driver's licence (desirable)
  • L4 NZQA certificate in water/ wastewater or relevant recent experience.
